Abstract
The aim of this project is to analyse scientifically the Black tourist potentially from the geographic perspective. Mitchell (1979) claims that the geographer as an analyst has the ultimate goal of obtaining insight and understanding of the spatial allocation of resources, relationships between a man his environment, or the complexity of regions. The researcher therefore, undertakes such an academic exercise of analysing the spatial aspects of tourism at the Empangeni - Richards Bay Complex.
